A young South African man decided to shoot his shot at a brand deal in the most memorable way possible. On 7 August 2026, TikTok user @botshelomotshegoa posted a video holding up two canned goods, one of them a can of Lucky Star pilchards, and told the camera directly that he wanted to feature in an advertisement for the brand.
The dance that stopped Mzansi
What followed left the internet stunned. He stepped back and launched into a full, high-energy dance routine set against a green corrugated iron wall. Both tins stayed in his hands the entire time, becoming part of the performance itself. His movements were sharp, rhythmic, and perfectly timed, with the cans almost acting like props in a choreographed routine nobody had asked for, but everyone needed to see.
