Filmed outdoors in a casual selfie style, the pair took turns sharing things that had genuinely surprised them about each other. Hanno kicked things off by admitting he had no idea how much natural hair could shrink until he and Katleho started dating. He said he rarely sees her hair at night because it is always tucked inside a bonnet, something he had never encountered before.

Katleho hit back with her own observation: Hanno's relationship with moisturiser. She said she lotions every morning and evening without fail, while he would barely think about it. She asked:

Cultural differences that hit close to home

The video also touched on time-keeping. Hanno said that if they needed to leave at 8am, Katleho would still be getting ready five or ten minutes before the hour. "African time," Katleho laughed, owning it completely.

Then came the shorts. Katleho pointed out that Hanno wears shorts all year round, including in winter, swapping only to add a hoodie when it gets particularly cold. There is even a saying, she mentioned, about Afrikaners wearing two pairs of shorts when it gets really cold. Hanno countered that Katleho, in turn, reaches for long pants and a hoodie the moment there is the slightest breeze, often ending up under a blanket while he sits there perfectly comfortable.
