Cheslin Kolbe posted from his hospital bed on Sunday, 6 September 2026, the day after fracturing his jaw in the Springboks' 29-24 victory over the All Blacks at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. The post stopped South Africa in its tracks.

In a carousel shared on Instagram, the Springbok back took a moment to acknowledge the flood of messages he had received following the injury, which occurred on 5 September 2026. He also singled out his wife, who had flown to Johannesburg to be by his side.
