When news broke that Katlego Maboe's nomination for the SAFTAs had been cancelled people were divided.
Some believed that he was being unfairly treated while others thought that the SAFTAs committee should never have nominated Maboe.
Social media users have taken to the internet to react to the situation. Many of them rushing to support Maboe and believe that he is being targeted unfairly.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that Katlego Maboe has lost out on a chance to win a SAFTA this year after his nomination was withdrawn following a severely negative reaction from the public.
The disgraced TV presenter is still facing allegations of abuse and when news broke that he had been nominated for the SAFTAs a lot of people were furious.
According to The Sowetan, The SAFTAs released a statement explaining that Mr.Katlego Maboe was no longer eligible for Best TV Presenter Public Vote Category. His voting code five had been removed.
In other news, late Mzansi actor Menzi Ngubane is being honoured even after his death. Menzi has received a SAFTA nomination for being the Best Actor in a Telenovela, for his role as Judas Ngwenya on Isibaya.
Menzi died in March after suffering a stroke in his home. Before his death, he had health issues and had previously been admitted to the hospital for organ failure. He also had a kidney transplant back in 2014.
