Mzansi actor Tumisho Masha thinks that SAFTA's decision to revoke Katlego Maboe's nomination was a dumb move. Taking to social media, Tumisho spoke about how he felt about the situation and defended Katlego amidst the damning allegations against him.
Tumisho feels that people shouldn't be too quick to point fingers at Katlego for GBV when they don't know the whole story. He tweeted:
"We need to normalise 'innocent until proven guilty'. His own wife went to the press saying that he didn't abuse her. Ya'll ready to cancel people based on hearsay. Voetsek!"

A disgruntled social media user then said that people like Tumisho think that they are untouchable because they make an appearance on television. To which he responded:
"For a struggling artist, you sure have a lot of entitlement issues. You are NOT the reason I have anything. God gave me the talent AND the opportunities. But keep watching and following."
Tumisho told the social media user to stay humble because he hasn't made it yet. He advised him to keep growing and minding his own business.

Many were happy when the nominees were announced a few weeks back but their excitement was short-lived when the SAFTAs announced recently that Katlego's nomination had been withdrawn.
MacG and Sol Phenduka were not impressed by the SAFTAs' jury's decision to rescind the nomination.
