Ex-Uzalo actress, Nokuthula Mabika, has thick clouds of scandal swirling around her as she stands accused of hitting a student with her car and then disappearing.
According to a report by Sunday Sun, the actress bumped into Sanele Maphalala, a Grade 11 pupil, when driving in her blue BMW.
The accident happened in August, and Sanele's head and left side of his body were injured, Briefly.co.za gathered.
After hitting Sanele, Nokuthula drove him to a clinic but was told that he'd need to go to the hospital because his injuries were serious.
ZAlebs reports this is when the actress allegedly disappeared. She offered the injured student R150 and took off.
Sanele's mother is deeply upset and says she has tried to contact Nokuthula but has been ignored.
"I was next to his bed. He couldn't recognise me. It's so painful to see my son like this. I want Nokuthula to pay for what she did. I want the law to deal with her. Maybe I'll find peace."
The investigation into the accident is ongoing and no arrests have been made yet.
