Phat Joe has had his fair share of online whippings this year. Man doesn’t know how to keep his thoughts to himself.
Social media has become a place for people to voice their opinions with little repercussion and it’s caused a lot of damage.
Briefly.co.za knows how many time Phat Joe found himself caught in social media drama webs as these moments were captured in headlines.
Looking back at the drama Phat Joe's unfiltered mouth caused, we recap on three times he found himself in hot water in 2019:
1. Homophobic Comment
It was in July when Phat Joe made a terrible homophobic comment and got torn apart for it – they even took him off radio because of it. It’s the 21st century bro, being homophobic ain’t cool.
2. Anele Mdoda and Miss SA Pageant
3. Men as Victims
With all the femicide and gender-based violence going on in Mzansi, Phat Joe should have known better than to try and turn the blame onto women. He went on about how men can be victims too and that women bring a lot of it onto themselves and have too many rights.
All we can hope is that Phat Joe has learnt something from these incidents and will walk into 2020 with some more tact and sensitivity.
