South Africans have waited a long time to see a local player reach the heights that Percy Tau has in the UEFA Champions League.

The Bafana Bafana forward is the best player produced in Mzansi for quite some time, but former Black Leopards coach Luc Eymael has predicted which player can reach his high level.

Eymael believes that Black Leopards midfielder Lesedi Kapinga has the talent to rival the Club Brugge star.

KickOFF.com reported that Eymael waxed lyrical about the youngster, but felt the right guidance would be key.

Briefly.co.za also gathered that Kapinga would need to put in the hard yards to maximise his potential.

Eymael said, “He improved and developed so much after I arrived there."

The Belgian mentor added, “If he can continue to work under good coaches, I believe he can be second best to Percy Tau.”

The 24-year-old wide man thrived under Eymael's tutelage and it will be interesting to see how he fares now that the Belgian has departed.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Eymael was under fire as Lidoda Duvha only racked up three wins since September.

Leopards have turned to former AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson in the hope of churning out more victories.
