Skeem Saam actor Karabo Mokhubela has died. The entertainer was 40 years old at the time of his unfortunate passing. His death has been confirmed by the Skeem Saam team on Twitter. They expressed sadness over the loss of the talented performer. The tweet read:

“Rest in peace Karabo (JAZZY T) Mokhubela. You will be sorely missed! We keep his loved ones in our prayers.”

Karabo's character in the hit show was of a music producer named ‘Jazzy T’. He first appeared on the show in 2011. His character was the boyfriend of Keamogetswe Leburu on-screen.

Twitter users sent in messages of comfort and condolences. Twitter user shireenhlalele said:

In similar news, Charles Maja sadly passed away. The entertainment star, who was widely known for his role as Big Boy Mabitsela on SABC 1's Skeem Saam, is no longer with us.

Skeem Saam publicist, Sumaya Mogola, said that Charles had unfortunately suffered a stroke that took his life. Briefly.co.za learnt that the Skeem Saam team posted on social media confirming Charles’ passing.

“Unfortunately it is true. He passed away this morning in Limpopo. He suffered a stroke. His daughter confirmed the news to us. The family is devastated.”

Charles left huge shoes to fill not only in the Skeem Saam family but in the SA entertainment industry as a whole.
