The ongoing feud between rapper Emtee and his estranged wife Nicole Chinsamy has escalated sharply, with the musician now seeking legal protection against her.

On Thursday afternoon, 29 October 2026, police officers arrived at Chinsamy's home alongside a friend of the rapper to hand over protection order documents. A source close to the former couple confirmed the development to TshisaLIVE.

Emtee's claims against Chinsamy

The protection order, filed under the Domestic Violence Act, details a string of allegations Emtee has levelled at his estranged wife. He claims that since his release from custody on 2 September 2026, after spending 16 days behind bars, Chinsamy has continuously threatened and harassed him. Emtee alleges she repeatedly warns him that she will have him re-arrested, just as she purportedly did before. He also claims she directs daily insults at both him and his current partner.

The rapper goes further, accusing Chinsamy of past physical abuse, including throwing objects at him. He also states that she pulled out his dreadlocks, which he says is the reason he now wears his hair short. Emtee adds that he genuinely fears for his safety, claiming she has threatened to kill him following his release.

Nicole Chinsamy denies every allegation

Chinsamy wasted no time pushing back against the claims. She described the protection order as a deliberate attempt to paint a misleading picture of the situation, insisting that none of the allegations holds any truth and that no evidence was offered to support them.

She was firm in stating that she has never wished any harm on Emtee and never would. Despite the bitterness of their separation, she acknowledged that he remains the father of their children, suggesting she still draws a line between their personal conflict and their shared parental responsibilities.
