Nine-year-old Shaka Madida is already making waves far beyond South African borders. The son of singer Nandi Madida and music producer Zakes Bantwini is set to feature in an international art exhibition in the Netherlands, cementing his place as one of the country's most exciting young creative voices.

Shaka will appear in Connecting the World Through Art, a showcase celebrating the power of art to bring cultures and generations together. The exhibition will be held at the Kapelkerk, a historic venue in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.

Shaka's rapid rise in the art world

What makes this milestone even more remarkable is how recently Shaka's art journey began. In November 2025, he marked his ninth birthday with his very first solo exhibition, held at Magugu House in Johannesburg. Less than a year later, he is already heading to Europe for an international platform.
