It's 2021 and citizens all over Mzansi are excited to have made it another year. 2020 was like no other, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic hitting the country so hard.

South African political parties are usually competitive with each other but they put it aside on 1 January 2021 to wish all citizens a Happy New Year.

Democratic Alliance (DA)

The DA wished their followers a very happy new year with a sweet message to seal the deal.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)

In true EFF fashion, the political party motivated its followers to better themselves and fight inequality. They said:

"May 2021 be a year where we disabuse ourselves from corruption, white-supremacy and poverty, that continues to define our great nation and continent."
"Let us use 2021 to consolidate the country and the continent towards independence, economic prosperity and political stability."
