South African content creator Quarrey has publicly called out influencer Yanda Woods after allegedly spotting her own photo on Woods' Instagram feed. Quarrey says she came across the image while casually browsing Instagram's Explore page, and the encounter stopped her in her tracks.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Quarrey flagged the post, writing: "Randomly scrolling my explore page and saw my feet lol. Crazy cause this pic is two years old." The image in question appears to show a close-up of feet, and Quarrey is convinced the photo belongs to her.

What did Yanda Woods Post?

The caption on the reposted image read: "yanda.woods if you're proud of her, Prada her." The phrasing suggests Woods shared the photo to complement her Instagram aesthetic rather than to claim personal ownership of the image.

Social media users push back on Quarrey

The reaction online was largely sceptical, with most commenters suggesting Quarrey may have misread the situation entirely.

@_thembi1523 said: "This isn't the issue; she is making it out to be. If you look at her feed, she is curating the colour scheme of her feed. If she claimed it was hers, it would have been another thing, but she hasn't. Quarrey is grasping at straws."

@Reign_C0C0 was equally unimpressed: "This isn't the gotcha moment she thinks it is..."

@Oracle_XQ1 went a step further, writing: "Now Quarrey must show us her 2 Porsche cars from 2 years ago."

@Zenani7fq asked simply: "Isn't she just doing that for a colour scheme?"

@Nonhlanhla_12 offered another explanation: "I think she probably took it from Pinterest."

@88mabilisa added more context: "She said she actually likes the shoes; she didn't know posting them was an issue."

@eman_utd23 pointed out what many seemed to agree on: "she didn't claim it's her there tho lol."

@CHlococotems echoed the sentiment: "But this doesn't look like she was making it seem like it's hers tho or maybe I'm not getting it."

The consensus among netizens seems to be that Woods was curating her feed's visual theme rather than passing off Quarrey's photo as her own original content. Whether the callout gains more traction remains to be seen.
