South Africa's European opponents present three different challenges, with the team scheduled to play Italy first, France in the middle of the tour and Ireland in the final Test.

The inaugural Nations Championship brings together 12 international teams: the six Six Nations sides, the four Rugby Championship nations, Fiji and Japan. Its format creates more regular competition between northern and southern hemisphere teams.

The Springboks' final scheduled Test of the tour will be against Ireland on 21 November. The competition will then move to Finals Weekend at Allianz Stadium in London from 27 to 29 November, when the tournament's final match-ups are scheduled.

For South African supporters, the November programme offers three important opportunities to follow the world champions against European opposition before the international season draws to a close.
