For some, it might be the first time their son kicks a ball, their daughter wins a maths contest, or their boy finally learns how to drive.
Matt Goodman, a 21-year-old man from Massachusetts, USA lost his dad six years ago.
However, he had no idea his father had already planned out the best gift he would give Matt in absentia during his 21st birthday.
According to the young guy, before his dad died, he gave KSh 1,097 to Matt’s sister and left specific instructions for how she would use it.
“Almost six years ago before my dad passed he gave my sister this 10$ bill (KSh 1,097) to give to me on my 21st birthday so he could buy me my first beer, cheers pops having this one for you,” the birthday boy wrote on Twitter.
He then shared a photo of himself sipping his first glass of beer and another of the dollar bill his late father left behind.
He told CBS that his sister gave him the cash and narrated the story the night before he turned a year older.
