A South African-born woman, Tineke Van Der Merwe recently shared a heartfelt message with Stayers in Facebook's ImStaying group. According to her post, she has been living in the UK for over 12 years.

She and her partner, however, decided to tour the world on their very special bike and SA was one of the first places she wanted to see. In the post, she explains how proud she is of all the changes made in the country and also says how much she and her partner enjoyed visiting.

"I was born and grew up in Mzansi. After finishing my degree I left for London to pursue my passion for the Theatre and Creative Industries and spent 12 years living there. In those 12 years, I’ve travelled quite a bit and afterwards also spent 2 years living in Auckland, New Zealand.
"Well, about 10 months ago my partner and I started our journey travelling around the world on our GS Adventure Motorbike (named Pegasus). We saved really hard for a year and sold all of our things.

Just before Christmas, we were able to come to South Africa! We put Pegasus in storage in Greece and hopped on the plane (with a whole lot of PPE on)We arrived in SA just before Christmas. It’s been 14 years since I left and I am *BLOWN AWAY* by all the positive changes I have seen in the last few weeks!," she writes.

She then goes on to explain how much she has enjoyed showing her partner the vast beautiful places in SA and will continue to do o over the next few weeks. She also asked Stayers for advice on places to visit.

"I LOVE South Africans! Sadly I haven't been living in South Africa this year. Work took me back overseas to my and I miss South Africa immensely. It's going to be a while before I move back.
