It's a new year for Boity Thulo and that means a pair of new glasses for the star.

Boity took to social media to share a picture of herself wearing her news frames and showing off how good they look on her.

The glasses themselves have silver frames and the frame outline of the lenses is a rather unconventional and angular shape that looks almost square.

Boity posted the selfie and said that she not only loved the new frames but was also obsessed with the design of the lenses and that she would be sticking to that square-like shape from now on.

Boity Thulo is definitely no stranger to the soft life and this time Briefly.co.za reported on when she decided to show off an expensive piece of jewellery.

The Ba Kae hitmaker was surprised by celebrity dentist Dr Smile with a diamond piece that left social media users in awe. The custom piece of jewellery is an "Own Your Throne" piece, which is Boity's favourite phrase. She even has a song titled with the very same phrase on her latest EP 4436.

Shohreh Custom Made posted an IGTV video detailing the process of delivering the special piece to Boity. A number of Mzansi social media users were impressed with the expensive gift from Dr Smile.
