Mabandla Hlase and an elderly lady were stuck in heavy rain. Mabandla stated the water running below them overflowed to about knee level. He added that the current of the water was very strong.

The elderly lady grabbed him from his back in case they fell. This is where things took a surprising turn. An unknown taxi driver came out of nowhere to rescue Mabandla and the elderly lady.

He stopped his taxi and told them to jump in before asking them where they were heading. Mabandla told him they needed to go two streets away from where they were stuck. The taxi driver asked the passengers in his vehicle if he could drop them off, they happily obliged.

In other news about kind taxi drivers, Briefly.co.za recently reported on a lady who shared a post about an amazing taxi driver. A woman, Ulricah Modiba, recently took to Facebook's #ImStayng to share a heartfelt post about a kind taxi driver who displayed true kindness and generosity towards her and her young son, who embarked on a long trip.

"I had an #ImStaying moment on the 4th of January this year. I was travelling with my 5-year-old son from Limpopo to Gauteng, I was a bit stressed because I had to pay a R600 taxi fee for my son and me.
"When we got to the taxi it was not full, we were 10 in the Quantum, my son is short in height when the driver collected money he asked me 'how old is your son' and I replied 'he's 5'. I gave him the R600, he looked at my stressed face and said 'Boy take this money and go buy a schoolbag and shoes,' he gave him back the R300."
