- Finance Minister Tito Mboweni is the latest politician to be called out as #VoetsekTito trends on social media
- Generally, #VoetsekFridays involve South Africans expressing their woes regarding political parties
- Tito has now made it to #VoetsekFridays as SAns share their thoughts about the minister, especially about his tweets
#VoetsekFridays usually involve the ANC and other political parties but this week is a bit different. #VoetsekTito is trending as SAns express their annoyance about the South African Finance Minister.
SAns are calling the minister out for 'race-baiting' and ignoring poverty-stricken locals. #VoetsekRamaphosa is also trending but South Africans seem to be more focused on Tito.
The posts, shared to Twitter, have also mentioned that the minister focuses more on his cooking than he does the country. The minister is expected to deliver the 2021 National Budget Speech at the end of the month.
Briefly.co.za compiled some of the tweets under #VoetsekTito. Read some of them below:

"Good morning to all except the FM who went on a racial rant this week: ‘Most white South Africans still view black people as servants' - Tito Mboweni. This rhetoric is completely untrue & dangerous. The victim card is outdated and embarrassing #VoetsekANC #VoetsekTito."
"We need a finance minister who cares more about his work than Twitter."
"It’s #VoetsekANC Friday friends. Hope you have a good one. Hope the ANC gets a hiding in the coming elections. #VoetsekANC #VoetsekTito."
"The most incompetent and useless pilchard minister #VoetsekTito."
"I think, after #SONA2021, this #VoetsekANC is even more deserved than usual. I'll throw in a #VoetsekRamaPhosa for the fool in charge, and I'll add a #VoetsekTito for the race-baiting "finance" minister who, as with his cooking, has no clue what he's doing."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that another week had come to an end and South Africans have not forgotten about #VoetsekANC Fridays. Many South Africans have made it a personal mission to make the hashtag trend every Friday.
