DJ Sbu has reportedly launched another online radio station. The media personality is known across the country for breaking barriers when he wants to achieve something.
DJ Sbu has his own energy drink called MoFaya. He has been in and out of huge grocery stores trying to get them to sell his product and it's clear for everyone that the businessman is winning as he has been able to sell the drink across Mzansi.
The radio and TV personality is also known for his never say die spirit when it comes to opening doors for himself and others in the entertainment industry. A couple of years back Sbu launched his own record label and signed successful artists such as Zahara. Youth Village reports that HOME GROWN Radio is designed for creative graduate students.
It is a sister radio station to Massiv Metro. It will officially be launched at the end of the month.
DJ Sbu shared on Instagram a few weeks ago that HOME GROWN Radio is co-founded by their students from their new radio training programme called "I WAS BORN TO SPEAK ON RADIO".
He shared that their lockdown class of 2020 has already achieved a lot. The musician shared that their students have already met and interviewed Black Coffee and co-founded the new online radio station.
In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that DJ Sbu took to social media to share that he now holds the world's longest radio marathon show record. The veteran radio host took to Instagram on Wednesday, 13 January to share that he broke the world record recently when he did 216 hours of non-stop radio to raise funds for a charity organisation.
The experienced media personality has been a radio host for big Mzansi radio stations such as Metro FM, Ukhozi FM and YFM. He is also a club DJ and a musician. The star posted on Instagram:
"Thank you for the experience. Marathon Longest Music Radio Show in the World, 216 hours of non stop music radio raising funds for @Siyazigabisa through @SLEF_SA."
Sbu shared a couple of snaps along with his post of a couple of famous people, such as Black Coffee, Zodwa Wabantu and Sello Maake kaNcube, who were seemingly his guests when he did the marathon show.
