- Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena was arrested on Tuesday night and the news has people shaking
- The arrest is confusing as some outlets report that it's related to a hit-and-run accident that claimed the lives of two people, others that the charge is attempted murder
- The star is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court this Wednesday when all should be made clear
Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena has reportedly been arrested. The media personality was allegedly taken into custody on Tuesday night. Two diffierent reasons have been reported for the arrest.
City Press reported that the stunner's arrest is in connection with a hit-and-run accident which claimed the lives of two people in 2017.
ZAlebs reports that Zinhle is scheduled to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court this Wednesday, 17 February. Sunday World reported in January 2021 that the 29-year-old, who had allegedly been driving under the influence of alcohol, was involved in a head-on collision in Boksburg.
The publication reports that two people died following the crash and one was left paralysed for life. One of the deceased passenger‘s family is said to be seeking legal justice for the death of their son.
The publication established that the Vosloorus family is seeking help from Afriforum in trying to get justice for their son's death.
Meanwhile, with completely different information, entertainment commentator Phil Mpela has shared on Twitter that the Isibaya star was arrested for an alleged conspiracy to murder her husband, Robert Ngwenya.
"The attempted murder incident took place in January, resulting in the death of the husband’s bodyguard."
Zinhle plays the character of Sihle on Isibaya. Social media users have shared that she takes her shady and evil role on the soapie too seriously. Check out some of the tweeps' reactions to her arrest below:
"It was part of the rehearsals. She needed to get into character."
"Remember she was driving under the influence of alcohol in 2017, her husband came in and took a wrap for her. Now that they've separated, and Afriforum wants her prosecuted for the murder of 2 people that died a day after the accident. Could be that case."
"That's why I understood people who said South Africans are lazy... Look at her taking her work home... talk about dedication."
"So vele she is evil, she is not just acting."
"She can't differentiate between acting and real life now?"
"So she is not acting when she is on Isibaya, she's being herself..."
"She clearly took the character too real life bathong."
In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that Moozlie made her acting debut on a new SABC 1 show on Sunday, 14 February. The rapper plays the role of a young dancer on The Kingdom - a show which made its debut on Sunday.
