Club host and reality TV personality Inno Morolong has officially walked back her comments about businessman Kagiso Lerutla, publishing a formal public apology after receiving legal pressure.
The drama began when Lerutla found himself trending on social media, and Morolong weighed in publicly with a series of explosive posts. She alleged that the former City of Ekurhuleni CFO was quietly directing bloggers and influencers to run smear campaigns against other individuals, and she also made various comments touching on his personal life and family. Morolong further claimed that Lerutla had been threatening her with legal action behind the scenes.

On 28 October 2026, Morolong posted the apology through her secondary Instagram blog account, @innomorolong_blog__, rather than her main profile. In the statement, she wrote:

"I recently made posts and comments about Kagiso Lerutla after he began trending on social media. Upon reflection, I understand that some of the things I posted about his personal life may have caused negativity about Kagiso Lerutla. I acknowledge that personal matters should be handled with care and that sharing allegations publicly can have serious consequences."
She continued: "I would therefore like to sincerely apologise to Kagiso Lerutla for the posts and comments I shared about him on my Instagram page, and any distress caused by these publications."

Morolong added that she regrets how things escalated and expressed hope that the apology would allow the matter to be resolved without further legal action.
While Morolong expressed regret over her posts, she never explicitly stated that her original claims were false or fabricated. That gap left room for widespread speculation about her motives for issuing the retraction at all, with some social media users suggesting she may have been paid to quietly let the matter drop.
The choice to post via a secondary blog handle, rather than the main account where the original comments appeared, also drew scrutiny from those who felt the apology was being kept low-key on purpose.
