It was earlier reported that an SAA airplane would be flying out to Brussels in Belgium to fetch South Africa's next batch of Johnson and Johnson vaccines. Taking to Twitter early this morning, Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula shared a snap of the pilots who will be making the trip.
In the caption of the post which features the pilots lined up in front of the aircraft, Mbalula explained that they will be fetching the next batch along with cargo - of which he did not offer other information.
"On the way to Brussels to collect vaccine and other cargo," wrote minister Mbaks.
Meanwhile, locals quickly headed to the comment section to share their thoughts about the snap. Many of them criticised the minister for a number of things including his unsatisfactory work in SA, the lack of social distancing between the pilots being among the complaints.

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that one-third of the first batch of 80 000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine have been allocated to the private sector. The portion of vaccine doses will be administered to the private sector over the next 14 days.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said that all health workers need to receive the vaccine, regardless of which sector they work in. By the end of Saturday, 27 February, over 10 000 healthcare workers would have received the vaccine.
The vaccine programme in the country has already vaccinated around 3 000 private-sector healthcare workers. Business Live reported that the department of health noted there was a higher-than-anticipated demand for the vaccine from both doctors and nurses.
