Travis Scott has joined a list of US stars who have opened their hearts and wallets following the winter storm that battered most parts of Texas recently.
The popular US rapper is helping 50 000 residents of Houston by providing them all with a hot meal. The superstar and his Cactus Jack Foundation teamed up with Mayor Sylvester Turner to launch an emergency food programme on Friday, 26 February.
The programme is expected to feed 50 000 residents who've been affected by Texas' historic freeze.
TMZ reports that the musician's foundation is working with local agencies and restaurant owners to get the hot meals to those who are still recovering from the bad weather and had been without water or power for days.

Beyoncé announced on Friday, 19 February that her BeyGood Foundation has teamed up with Adidas and Bread of Life to assist those affected by the storm. They are giving up to $1 000 (R14 639) to people who have been affected financially due to the storm, which has left Beyoncé's fellow Texans without food, power or water.
