The All Natives of South Africa (ANOSA) party shared a tribute post on Thursday, 11 September 2026, expressing condolences to Sibiya on the loss of his sister. The message, shared alongside a photo of the radio veteran, read: "Usizi ku-Linda Sibiya: Ushonelwe udadewabo," which translates to Linda Sibiya having lost his sister. However, the framing of the post, combined with the "We say Dudu" farewell message, left many readers convinced that it was Sibiya himself who had passed on.

X user @_Bongekile_ shared the image with a string of crying emojis, adding fuel to the confusion already spreading across timelines.

Sne Mseleku Takes the Heat

ANOSA is no stranger to controversy. The party previously made headlines when a photo of reality TV personality Sne Mseleku appeared to show her campaigning for a ward councillor seat under the party's banner, though she later distanced herself from the organisation. Despite that denial, many South Africans still associate her with ANOSA, and the blunder quickly became her problem in the court of public opinion.

Reactions online ranged from genuine grief to frustration to outright laughter, once people realised the post referred to Sibiya's sister and not the man himself.
