Sne Mseleku Denies Joining Anosa Political Party as New Poster Goes Viral

A campaign poster for a new political party has put Izingane Zes'thembu star Sne Mseleku at the centre of an unexpected political storm, with the reality TV personality flatly denying any ties to the party in question.

Sne, who is well known to Mzansi Magic audiences through her family's reality shows Uthando Nes'thembu and Izingane Zes'thembu, started trending on Monday, 7 September after a campaign poster bearing her name and image for the All Natives of South Africa (Anosa) party began circulating widely on social media. The poster, which had reportedly been released as far back as July, positioned her as a proportional representation councillor candidate for the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.

Mzansi Magic Publicist Sets the Record Straight

Mzansi Magic publicist Portia Hlongwane was unequivocal in her response when approached for comment on Sne's behalf. "Thank you for reaching out. Sne is unable to comment on the questions below as she has no knowledge of the matter you are referring to. She has not stepped into politics nor is she a councillor candidate for Anosa or any other political party," Hlongwane said.

Despite that denial, Anosa did not back down. The party's secretary general and founder, Siyabonga Thango, claimed that Sne's involvement was arranged directly through her father, veteran polygamist and television personality Musa Mseleku. "When we established the political party, we notified Sne's father, Musa Mseleku and asked him to give us one of his children to lead at Ray Nkonyeni and he recommended Sne," Thango said. He added that the poster was released in July and that Sne had been active in the party's WhatsApp groups.

Musa Mseleku Speaks on His Daughter's Behalf

Musa Mseleku acknowledged that his daughter had been approached by the party but indicated she had other commitments that prevented her from taking up any role. His comments appear to sit somewhere between the two contradictory accounts, suggesting that while initial contact was made, Sne herself never formalised any agreement with Anosa.

The conflicting claims have left Mzansi puzzled, with the Mseleku family's publicist maintaining that Sne has no knowledge of the matter whatsoever, while Anosa continues to insist she is a member in good standing.
