The cat is officially out the bag and it will result in disappointment for many Generations: The Legacy fans. Veteran actor Vusi Kunene is reportedly leaving the soapie.
According to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, Kunene resigned as he is going to star in a brand-new soapie on eTV.
Kunene, who plays the character of Jack Mabaso, is one of the show’s best characters among fans. According to TshisaLive, his last appearance on the show will be in May.
The news has been met with mixed reactions from fans. Twitter user Mdleleni said:
"#TheEntertainmentAlert Yhoooooo kuzoba rough ku Generubish moos Dan. Tau left. Kumkani is leaving now Jack."
SandaMafani said:
"Two actors who are popular bad boys on TV have left Generations?! Mfundi and his team need to bring someone who will do some shaking up on the soapie. #TheEntertainmentAlert"

"Can't believe Isibaya is coming to an end while Generations is still going strong... is it also about who you know in that space as well!"
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Zoe Mthiyane has been removed from Generations: The Legacy and fans were shook but it didn't take long for a replacement to be found.
Zoe's departure was filled with as much drama as a daytime soapie, she was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence and fans have suspected that this may have been one of the reasons if not a contributing one for her removal.
Another rumour is that her relationship with Rapulana Seiphemo was an issue with allegations that Rapulana was less than faithful to her.
However, this is all speculation and nothing firm has come from the studio or Zoe as the reason for her dismissal.
Fans have reacted to the news that she will be replaced by Motshidi Motshekgwa, however, this has not yet been 100% confirmed.
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Zoe Mthiyane has reportedly been fired from Generations: The Legacy. The actress had been suspended after allegedly arriving on set intoxicated, but it seems management has decided to dismiss her completely.
Zoe played the character of Zitha Langa on the popular SABC1 soapie. Entertainment blogger Phil Mphela shared the story on Twitter.
