A funny clip has been shared online which may just explain why the chicken crossed the road,. In the clip that was shared by a guy with the Twitter handle, @iGrootman_, a chicken can be seen fleeing very quickly from a local Nando's fast-food restaurant.
So now we know that that the chicken crossed the road to get as far away as it can from becoming a delicious Nando's meal that South Africans absolutely love devouring at any opportunity they can get.

This time the Nando's Twitter page had people laughing after they commented on a snap that was shared of a man carrying a chicken drumstick in his pocket.
"Did skaftins become extinct in the panoramic? Mara if there's space for wedges in there then we aren't complaining," wrote Nando's hilariously.
