Anele Mdoda recently demonstrated Ubuntu by helping a hungry stranger who begged for her help. A desperate social media user appealed to the media personality for food or vouchers in order to feed her family.
Twitter user n_lindelwa bravely took to social media to tell her story in an attempt to get help from Anele. She posted:
“Hello. I'm asking for help please with food for my family. Things are very hard for us, seeing my siblings and mom starve breaks my heart. If you have a job for me, anything please. I don't want money. A food voucher or you can buy the meali-meal for us please. God bless.”
She posted her phone number with the tweet. Anele responded and told her to check her phone as she had sent something.
After the social media user acknowledged receiving the money another Twitter user shared their story about how Anele helped him. He said:
“Anele is the best, she helps where she can and she never advertises. She helped me as well when I was in university, I had clothes because of her. Blessing.”
The beautiful gesture from Anele earned her praise from her followers who witnessed the exchange. Twitter user MissMusanda said:
“You are such a sweetheart.”

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Trevor Noah has made it in Hollywood but that doesn't mean he forgot his friends back home. The South African comedian hosted the Grammy Awards recently and he sent a shoutout to Anele Mdoda.
Moments after Beyoncé made history by becoming the female artist with the most Grammy wins, Noah mentioned Anele.
He said:
"Give it up for Beyoncé. This is history. She did it Aneeeezy!"
Aneezy is Noah's nickname for Anele. The 947 Breakfast host made sure that those who missed the shout-out relived it. She posted a clip on her Twitter account and wrote:
"Also did you okes hear Trevor shout me out at the Grammys after Beyoncé’s speech?"
South Africans reacted to Noah's shout-out with some celebrating with Anele while other said it wasn't a big deal.
