Mzansi-born comedian Trevor Noah interviewed former US president Barack Obama recently and the two engaged in some banter. Trevor was asking the former president how he made his transition back into being an ordinary citizen.
Barack Obama was influential during his time as the president of the US and is still an important public figure even today. Trevor compared Obama to himself, calling him an ordinary person and the former president stopped the comedian in his tracks.
"First of all, I'm not anything like you. I still have a lot more influence and clout, so let's just be clear. C'mon man," said Obama.
Trevor Noah's fans took to social media to reshare the clip and found it hilarious that Barack Obama did not want to be compared to Trevor. Check out some of the reactions from social media users below:

"A former USA President whether black or white is never just an ordinary citizen with no power or influence. What was Trevor thinking."

"It's called humour ladies and gentlemen. Stop thinking this was an attack or anything like that."

"I watched the whole interview and Obama also mentioned something about Trev not being born in America. The train repeatedly hit the comedian."
@lungism88 commented:
"Trevor Noah is now friends with Obama, Bill Gates and Roger Federer, there's no bar higher than that."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Nomzamo Mbatha showered Trevor Noah with praise during an interview. Trevor Noah recently sat down with Nomzamo Mbatha on The Daily Show to chat about her successful Coming 2 America debut.
The pair discussed the movie and life in Hollywood. As the interview wrapped up, Trevor showered Nomzamo with kind words, telling her that she was a lovely person who deserved all the accolades she was enjoying.
A thankful Nomzamo received the praise but also flipped the script on Trevor. Zamo took the opportunity to tell Noah that South Africa is extremely proud of him.
