Veteran newsreader Noxolo Grootman said goodbye to news broadcasting yesterday and the nation was very emotional. Mam'Noxolo is loved by many in Mzansi for keeping the country informed on current affairs.
Somizi Mhlongo is one of those who showed appreciation to Noxolo and surprised her with a lovely pot-plant. Noxolo was at the 947 studios, doing an interview with media personality Anele Mdoda.
Taking to social media, 947 posted a video of Somizi gifting Noxolo the plant and it was indeed very heartwarming. Noxolo started crying when she saw Somizi. They captioned the post:
"Just when we thought the surprises were done, Somizi left his warm luxurious bed to grace #AneleAndTheClub as we celebrate umam #NoxoloGrootboom and her reaction says it."
Mzansi social media users found the exchange between the two very sweet and took to the comments section to show them lots of love. Check out the reactions below:

Briefly.co.za previously reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa delayed his National Address in honour of Mama Noxolo's last day.
Social media users flooded the internet on veteran newsreader Noxolo Grootboom's last day in the office. After 37 years, Grootboom's last day has been made extra special with tribute pouring in for her.
Her last broadcast was so important that even President Cyril Ramaphosa delayed his national address so as not to impose on her time. Initially, the president's broadcast was scheduled for 19:00 pm but this clashed with Grootboom's last appearance.
"Please note: Presidential address has moved from 19h00 to 19h30 to allow #SABC viewers to watch veteran newsreader #NoxoloGrootboom’s final bulletin as she retires after 37 years."
