On Thursday this week, South African transport minister, Fikile Mbalula is celebrating his 50th birthday. In celebration of the minister's special day, many locals have headed online to share some birthday wishes.
The minister himself also took some time out to thank everyone for taking the time to share so many heartwarming well wishes and birthday wishes with him. In the same breath the minister also joked about getting grey hair.
"Good morning Mzansi; thank you for the message of well wishes at my big 50. A small technical Home Affairs error said I was born on the 8th but the 1st is the correct date. At 50 now, you can't make fun of the grey patches on my head."
Here are some of the birthday wishes shared with the minister:

In other Briefly.co.za news, SA media personality and radio host created quite the buzz on Twitter after trolling Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula. Mbalula has been sharing an array of controversial tweets on the microblogging app and it seems that Sizwe had some fun.
Dhlomo 'defended' the minister by saying he is a consistent minister who supports the leader of the African National Congress. Sizwe's tweet came across as quite funny to many social media users but Mbaks didn't catch on.
Mbalula shared a response to Sizwe, thanking him for after the 'supportive' tweet. Mzansi shared various reactions to the hilarious and kind of weird exchange between the two.
