Prince Harry, however, will be making the trip while his pregnant wife stays home, royal reporter Omid Scoobie recently wrote in a statement tweet on behalf of the royal family.

"The Duke of Sussex is planning to attend. The Duchess of Sussex has been advised by her physician not to travel. So the duke will be attending."

Twitter users had this to say:

@duchessofpoms said:

"Makes sense. If her first pregnancy was labelled dangerous and geriatric, she should be expected to take it easy this pregnancy esp after the miscarriage. It’s a pity the timing of it all but such is life"

"I don’t blame her for a second! Why on Earth would she want to come back to this toxic atmosphere!!"

@Buckfield777 said:

"It will be interesting to watch just how welcome Harry will be by the public. l don’t know how he has the nerve to return to the UK."

Briefly.co.za previously reported that the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, has died at the age of 99. He had been the Queen's partner and source of strength for 73 years. Philip had been in and out of the hospital with health complications and his health was reported to have been deteriorating for a period of time.

He also took a hiatus from public functions despite his gregarious and ever-stable nature. In the UK, flags on public and landmark buildings have been lowered to half-mast as a sign of honour and respect to the fallen royal leader.

Previously, Briefly News reported that the Prince had been discharged from hospital after four weeks in the health facility. Prince Philip returned to Windsor Castle, west of London, where he had been living with the Queen during the pandemic.
