Veteran South African actor Israel Zulu has resurfaced in a political campaign video, this time standing alongside ActionSA's Councillor Mpumi Edward. The clip, filmed outdoors in front of a building bearing a ‘Group Finance Revenue Shared Services Centre’ sign, has set social media alight with mixed reactions from the public.
In the video, Zulu is identified via an ActionSA lower-third graphic as the party's MMC Candidate for Finance, alongside the title 'Legendary Actor.' Speaking candidly in the interview-style clip, Zulu opened up about his personal hardships, describing himself as a freelancer and actor living with a disability who has long felt ignored by those around him. He said:
"I'm a freelancer, I'm an actor, I'm in pain as well. Many people have been in the world. I'm a disability, and nobody cares about us. People want us to make a mistake.”

Despite the emotional weight of his words, Zulu struck a hopeful tone, expressing his belief in South Africa's future and crediting his journey for shaping his perspective on leadership. He added:

Mzansi reacts to Zulu's ActionSA move

Veteran Muvhango actor Gabriel Temudzani officially joined ActionSA, with party leader Herman Mashaba sharing the news on X.
