Ready to Move On: Lerato Nxumalo Leaves Mzansi Show 'Durban Gen'

Mzansi actress Lerato Nxumalo is leaving Durban Gen. Lerato took to social media to relay the news to her followers and is grateful to have had the experience. She played Dr Ndabezinhle Luthuli on the show.
”Although I’m leaving I’ll never forget the human qualities Ndabezinhle has taught me, that it’s okay to be vulnerable, kind, compassionate and flawed," said Lerato.
She played the role of a surgical intern and is thankful for the opportunity. She thanked her colleagues for going on the journey with her and said that they made every day on set fun.
"To my colleagues, thank you for being crazy, y'all made every day on set so much fun. I’m sorry for bullying y'all into making Tiktwooks with me," she said.
Lerato also thanked the producers of the show for giving her the chance to play the role and is happy to have received so much direction from them. She has now joined the cast of Lingashoni.
"Thank you for believing in me and being the best bosses that a young lady could ever ask for, I am so blessed and highly favoured to have been chosen to be a part of your team," she said.
Briefly News previously reported that Durban Gen lost 300k viewers after their successful end to 2020. Popular e.tv series Durban Gen has lost 300 000 viewers after their episode that brought in two million viewers in November 2020.
The series is set in a township in Durban, where the Durban General public hospital is situated. The show hit the milestone of two million viewers a few months ago after only being on air for a period of two months.
The show stars Zuluboy, Bhekisizwe Mahlawe, Lihle Dhlomo and Meshack Mavuso to name a few. According to entertainment blogger and television commentator Phil Mphela, the show has lost a huge number of viewers since the successful episode in 2020.
