Weekly Wrap: World's Longest Nails Cut, Thibedi Leaves Uzalo & Boity Claps Back

This week is really a mixed bag with some weird news mixed in with the usual. A woman cut her fingernails for the first time in 30 years, Nyalleng Thibedi leaves Uzalo and Boity has no time for Ntsiki Mazwai and claps back.

In addition, a man was spotted cruising around with some very large snakes and talking about large snakes, fans got more than they bargained for in Somizi's latest training video.

1. Woman with World's Longest Nails Finally Cuts Them for the 1st Time in 30 Years

Ayanna Williams, a Texas woman who held the Guinness World Records title for having the longest fingernails for 30 years, has finally cut her nails.

However, according to Guinness World Records, she managed to break her own record with a new length of 24 feet and 0.07 inches before cutting them off over the weekend.

Williams set the record in 2017 when her nails were almost 19 feet and 10.9 inches long, necessitating almost two bottles of nail polish to complete a manicure.

"I’ve been growing my nails for a few decades now. I’m so, so ready for a new life. I know I’m going to miss them, but it’s just about that time – it’s time for them to go. With or without my nails, I will still be the queen. My nails do not make me, I make my nails."

2. Uzalo: Actress Nyalleng Thibedi Leaves Local Television Show

Uzalo is going through a lot of changes. From bringing onboard new characters to losing much-loved old ones.

According to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, Nyalleng Thibedi is the latest cast member to leave the hit TV show. The actress, who plays the role of Zekhethelo is exiting the show to pursue another venture.

3. "Cheers": Boity Claps Back at Ntsiki Mazwai for Being Spicy About Education

Media personality Boity Thulo has had enough of Ntsiki Mazwai's snubs on social media. The Ba Kae rapper recently launched her alcoholic drink and she's not appreciative of the shade that Ntsiki threw at her recently.

Ntsiki took to Twitter to talk about the celebrities in Mzansi who have their own alcohol brands but some of them don't even have university degrees. She said:

"All your celebs have booze but no educational degree."

Boity responded to the tweet and didn't slide, she quoted the tweet and replied "Cheers" with a picture of her sparkling fruit drink that launched a few days ago.

4. "True Madness": Clip of Man Driving with Large Snake Leaves SA Baffled

Some people honestly have no chill. A man driving with a large snake while on a busy road is one of those people. In a clip shared online, the man can be seen with a snake curled near the windscreen of the car.

The clip, which was posted by @Advobarryroux, shows the man trying to keep the snake calm as it moves to face him while he and a passenger travelling in the black convertible completely aware that they're being recorded.

5. Somizi's Fans Get an Eyeful in His Latest Video, Shows Off More Than He Intended

Somizi Mhlongo has posted his latest boxing sessions on his Instagram page and his fans got more than they bargained for.

His fans took to the comments section and recommended that next time Somizi trains he should wear a good pair of underpants.

The first video shows Somizi running up the stairs, sort of like Rocky Balboa except for that his shorts revealed more than he'd intended.
