Lingashoni has failed to rake in the viewers it expected to receive. The telenovela produced by Stained Glass TV is not doing so well and couldn't even break into the Top 30 most-watched shows in Mzansi.
According to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, the show has had a bit of a rough start and it's not what was expected.
"The 1Magic show was available to Compact viewers when it premiered on 22nd until 28 March but failed to attract enough viewers to crack DStv’s Top 30 list in March," tweeted Phil.
However, it's not all doom and gloom according to the blogger, the show still has an opportunity to pick up ratings and viewers. A few telenovelas in Mzansi had a slow start but still managed to improve as time went by.
"To be fair: The show may be performing well on 1Magic based on their regular pull. Also, remember that Durban Gen and Imbewu starting with weak numbers but picked up later," said Mphela.

"Problem most of its followers don't have @DStv, they have @openviewforever."
@Mxolisibryan9 commented:
"That's probably because eTV is accessible to all, Durban Gen was an alternative from Skeen Saam."
