Nelli Tembe was laid to rest on Friday 16 April. She had tragically lost her life on 11 April after falling from a building in Cape Town.
Her sister Palesa Tembe took to Instagram in the wake of her funeral to share a touching tribute to her sister.
She mentioned how much she missed Nelli and their late-night calls and family trips. Here is her full caption to her post:
"Yesterday we said goodbye, but this morning strangely feels like a new beginning. You moved us in ways you’ll never know. Your honesty, our late night calls, family trips together and you just laughing at me every time I “flopped” (your words, not mine ) I’ll miss it all. But for now, God’s got you, my sweet angel. P.S: please hug aunt Lulu for me and mom. I miss you- we miss you. “Angels protect you, and heaven accepts you”- Drake (words from your fave)"

Earlier, Briefly News reported that back in February 2012, AKA had dedicated his song Finessin to the love of his life Nelli Tembe. Tembe was a reserved and private person, unlike most of AKA's previous partners.
The couple were set to get married near future and AKA was head of heels in love with her.
His previous girlfriends had been high profile celebrities such as DJ Zinhle and Bonang Matheba.
In other news, DJ Zinhle found herself trending on social media after her picture was mistakenly added in a slideshow of Anele Tembe's tribute pictures during her funeral.
The lone picture of Zinhle stood out and many wondered how anyone did not notice this before the ceremony.
