Grammy winner Tyla has surpassed all the hate online by dominating the Billboard US Afrobeats chart. This year alone, the singer has managed to stay in the top 5, occupying three spots.

Tyla is on everyone's lips of late due to the low sales of her recent EP, We Wanna Party. According to music bloggers, her EP only managed to sell a shocking 3.7K copies in its first week. This saw Tyla receiving a lot of hate from Americans, especially those in the black community.

During her interview with Charlamagne Tha God on his Breakfast show, Tyla dodged the "Are you black?" questions by simply ignoring them. She ruffled feathers when she consistently referred to herself as a South African coloured, a derogatory term in the US. Those still offended by her remarks were quick to troll her after her latest release.

Tyla dominates Billboard chart

X blog page @PopBase shared the latest numbers on the Billboard Afrobeats chart in the US, saying three of Tyla's songs are currently in the top 5. The blog shared that this has been a trend where three of her songs would sit comfortably in the 5 best songs since the beginning of the year.

"Tyla is the only artist to have multiple songs inside the Top 5 of the Billboard US Afrobeats chart every week of this year so far.'DYNAMITE’, ‘Water’ & ‘PUSH 2 START’ are all charting in this week’s Top 5," they wrote.
