South African dancer Limpopo Boy sat down with MacG on Podcast and Chill to address one of the most talked-about scandals in Mzansi entertainment — how a private video featuring him and Matshidiso Matilda ended up on TikTok for all to see. The episode premiered on YouTube on Thursday, 27 August 2026, and his account of events left both the hosts and viewers with more questions than answers.
Limpopo Boy explains what happened
According to the dancer, the clip was recorded on 8 August during what was supposed to be a celebratory evening. After filming, he and his crew headed towards an after-party, moving between venues and getting ready in a hotel. It was only about 20 to 25 minutes after the video was recorded that someone called to ask whether he had seen what was posted on his profile. He checked his phone and found the video had gone live on his TikTok stories — but he insists he never posted it himself.
What made the situation murkier is that his TikTok account was locked at the time the video went public. Limpopo Boy told the hosts that his boys occasionally had access to his phone to record content at gigs, meaning someone in his circle could have come across the footage in his camera roll. However, he stopped short of directly blaming anyone.

"I don't want to point fingers cause I don't know what happened," he said during the interview.
The hosts pressed him on whether anyone else knew about the video at that point, and he acknowledged that the girl in the clip did, but that his friends were unaware he had recorded it.
MacG raised a pointed question: if someone had access to his phone and posted the video, how did they also manage to lock him out of TikTok? Limpopo Boy suggested it may have been a cybersecurity issue, adding that he had been working to have the content removed from social media.
"Every day when I see those things, my guy," he said, trailing off with visible discomfort.

Mzansi reacts to Limpopo Boy's explanation
The clip sparked heated debate online, with many users calling out inconsistencies in his story:
@Ntate_Scissor said:
"This boy is talking nonsense, he's story is not adding up…..why would you be locked out on one phone? When you are locked out, you are locked out…He's the one who posted the video clip!!!"
@NtandoMnguni_ claimed:
"Nobody hacked him, and nobody tried to sabotage him by posting the video. He recorded the video himself on TikTok; instead of clicking draft, he mistakenly clicked post, and he didn't realise until it was too late. Him being logged out, I might have been TikTok flagging the video."
@XYZXYZsauce questioned:
"Can he just stop talking about it on these podcasts and keep it moving? Just speak about your dancing, where you are taking South African dance to next, what your bookings are looking like, and whether your fans can ever see you. Does he have a PR team?"
@McLionheart17 remarked:
"Me sitting here like MacG, not buying it at all 😅"
@sipho28825 highlighted:
"They interrupted him. He clearly said the video was leaked the time he and Matshidiso were alone on their way to the after party. Obviously, she did it."
@OgKalid asked:
"So ngwana Sesi (Skomota) has been cleared...😁"
Limpopo Boy explains Vaseline in leaked private video
In the same Podcast and Chill interview, Limpopo Boy also explained what the Vaseline was for, as reported by Briefly News.
He claimed he did not know Matshidiso was married to Kevin Shai and said the incident was a once-off with no romantic relationship between them.
