Somizi Mhlongo did not hold back after the Gauteng government announced a security lockdown in Kempton Park. The Metro FM radio presenter and media personality took to TikTok to air his frustration, and his words clearly resonated with many South Africans.
In the video, Somizi Mhlongo questioned the logic behind reactive policing, pointing out that it should not take a string of murders for authorities to respond.
"Why must there be one person dying, never mind we are on eight now, for action to be taken? Why can't it be a normal thing for crime not to exist?"
