South African actor Arnold Vosloo, best known internationally for his villain role in The Mummy, has become a father again at 64. His girlfriend, 32-year-old Anika du Toit, gave birth to their son Daniel Reece Vosloo on Monday, 14 September at Mediclinic Hermanus. The little boy arrived weighing a healthy 4.1kg.
Du Toit spoke to YOU magazine just one day after the birth, saying the moment was still overwhelming. She told the publication:
"Everything is still a blur. Arnold initially couldn't say anything, because there are no words to describe it."

How Vosloo prepared for baby Daniel's arrival
According to YOU's Angel Hoffman, the veteran actor spent the weeks leading up to the birth talking to his unborn son and playing him music by Westlife. Du Toit had also shared on Instagram that the two could barely contain their excitement, speaking endlessly about looking forward to watching their boy run around the house.
For Du Toit, becoming a mother has long been a personal dream. She credited Vosloo for making the journey easier from the very beginning.
"I can't imagine doing this without Arnold. From day one, he's just been there, supportive, patient and always ready to help. I feel incredibly lucky to have him by my side.”
She also had a playful message for her older partner, joking that being outnumbered at home would require some extra preparation on his end.
"Arnold just needs to do 20 squats, and he's good to go!" she quipped.
