A 78-year-old man in South Sudan has turned to the public for help after his wife gave birth to triplets, leaving the family stretched as they try to meet the immediate needs of three newborns.
Kuot Kiir Deng and his wife, Nyanut Anyar, welcomed the babies at Juba Teaching Hospital on 3 September 2026. The birth has been described as the 20th recorded case of triplets in South Sudan since the beginning of the year.
A family in need
With three infants suddenly in their care, Kuot and Nyanut are facing the reality of round-the-clock costs: milk, diapers, clothing and ongoing medical attention. Kuot has appealed to friends, relatives and members of the public to step in during what the family describes as a difficult period. They say any form of support is welcome, from prayers and personal visits to material assistance.
