A woman has captured attention online after sharing a video of herself preparing a traditional yet creative dish, peanut butter pap, paired with smoked sausage.

Taking to her social media account under the handle @harppiness, she not only demonstrated the cooking process but also highlighted the cultural significance of peanut stew across Africa.

In the clip, she began by adding peanuts to a pot of boiling water, sprinkling in salt, and stirring until the mixture thickened. Separately, she fried onions until golden before adding fresh fruit, tomatoes and orange peppers. The mixture was then combined with the peanut pot and seasoned with a blend of beef spice, black pepper, paprika, and peri-peri for extra flavour.

She later prepared pap, making it unique by stirring in a generous amount of peanut butter, which gave the dish a rich, nutty taste and creamy texture. To complete the meal, she grilled smoked sausages, presenting a hearty plate that blended tradition with personal flair.

While cooking, @harppiness explained that peanut stews are a well-loved dish across the continent, particularly in Southern and West Africa. She described the meal as both comforting and nutritious, pointing out that recipes vary from one region to another but all carry cultural roots.
