A Johannesburg car enthusiast wowed viewers with her top five Chinese cars, which included Jetour and Omoda among the list.

The clip was shared on her TikTok account @ms.m_mulaudzi on 21 March 2026, where it reached 113K views and hundreds of comments from viewers who loved the cars on the list.

The young woman shared a list of her five favourite cars from different Chinese brands, all under the million rand price tag on her social media account. Listing them in no particular order, she showed off a Haval H6 GT PHEV priced at R799,900, and followed with the Omoda C9 PHEV valued at R999,900.

The Jetour T2 car, which retails between R569,900 and R679,900, was also featured on TikTok user @ms.m_mulaudzi's list. Next was the Cherry Tiggo 9 PHEV, priced between R839,900 and R989,900. Closing off the list was the BYD Sealion, which retails between R499,000 and R569,900.

SA debate about their favourite Chinese cars

The post gained massive engagement as social media users flooded the comments section to list their favourite Chinese brand cars. Many viewers agreed that it was difficult to pick up only one, as the Chinese companies excelled with their cars. Some said they loved all the cars showcased by the creator, calling the list immaculate. A large portion of commenters leaned towards the OMODA C9, saying it was a true winner. One user noted that the Chinese have not only entered the market but were dominating it.
