South Africa got the worst joke come true on 1 April 2026. There was a R3.06 per litre petrol increase and a R7 jump in diesel prices, and while most people were feeling the pinch, comedian and MC @ThembaRobinOriginal had a different response. He shared a video that day, giving South Africans the laugh they did not know they needed. He shared the clip with a fun, but simple message:

"Another innovative service launched in South Africa. Thanks to local Lindenites Willbert, Reggie Peace Int. and Charis."

The video was shot and edited like a proper advert. It opens with a man running out of petrol, who then pulls out his phone and dials for the newest service on the market. What follows is a full mock commercial for "Uber Push". This is a service where, instead of a car picking you up, a person comes to push your vehicle to your destination. The voiceover in the ad was polished and convincing:

"No petrol, no problem. Introducing Uber Push, a slow and barely legal movement system powered by your very own push power."

The ad did not stop at the basic package. For those who need a little extra help, the commercial introduced Uber Push Black, which brings up to three pushpals to get your vehicle moving with more power and speed. Three men were shown pushing a car through the street.

The timing and production quality left some viewers genuinely confused. A few people ended up asking whether it was a real service.
