A homemade bicycle is turning heads across South Africa. Bikerboyz SA posted a video on Facebook on 18 August 2026 showing off a DIY elongated bike, and Mzansi could not look away.
The bike is hard to miss. Painted bright yellow and stretched out into a tandem-style frame, it carries a red cargo box attached at the rear. What makes it truly remarkable, though, is what is packed inside: a full sound system, complete with a PowerBass speaker unit, LED lighting, and a battery pack wired up by hand.

The footage, filmed on a residential street, shows a man walking viewers through the bike's improvised electrical components, pointing out the wiring and setup with quiet pride. The tone is casual and inventive, the kind of backyard engineering that does not ask for applause but earns it anyway.

It was a simple line, but it landed. The video racked up attention quickly, with viewers blown away by the level of craftsmanship achieved without formal resources or backing.
Commenters were quick to point out that the builder had reportedly put this together in Winterveld, a township north of Pretoria, adding another layer of pride to the reaction.
