What caused the FlyDubai plunge
According to reports by the BBC, the co-pilot was stabbed, causing the aircraft to lose control and drop at a terrifying rate. Crew members and passengers reportedly rushed into the cockpit to help regain control of the plane. Other qualified pilots who happened to be on board stepped in and took over the flight, bringing the aircraft under control before it was diverted.
The incident raised urgent questions about aviation security, particularly how a blade made it past airport screening and onto a commercial flight.
