A seemingly harmless request by a woman to her husband has sparked a heated conflict, threatening to tear down their marriage.

Obeezy De Mwenda shared her predicament on the Thriving Couples KE Facebook page, disclosing the unexpected events.

Hardworking hubby reacts to request

According to Mwenda, the husband is a hardworking mechanic known for his dedication to providing for his family.

However, he has a habit of only bathing in the mornings and coming home sweaty after work. Mwenda politely suggested that he start bathing before going to bed to stay fresh, but to her surprise, he reacted strongly, accusing her of implying that he was unclean.

"It's as if I caught a live wire, he told me hao wanaume nimeona wasafi niende kwao (he told me to move out and go live with those men I deem more hygienic)," she wrote.

Mwenda concerned about hubby's behaviour

Mwenda disclosed that the outburst left her perplexed and hurt. She believed her request was made out of concern and love for her family. Her husband skipped breakfast and deliberately tried to provoke a reaction.

He has since expressed that he was being mistreated and made rude remarks in front of their children. Mwenda is left wondering what could be causing her husband's sudden change in behaviour.

Man lies to wife about going on solo trip
