How the robbery unfolded

As seen in the footage, a woman wearing a white sleeveless top, jeans, glasses and a headband approached the stationary vehicle and settled into the front passenger seat. Moments later, male accomplices appeared in the rear of the vehicle and began to confront the driver. One man climbed between the front seats as the situation escalated.

The driver attempted to flee the vehicle during the altercation. Audio captured in the clip includes voices shouting "shoot him, shoot him, shoot him," and a shot was reportedly fired as he tried to escape. In the final frames, the vehicle sits with its doors open while individuals are seen moving around it and reaching into the centre console area.

At the time of publication, no official statement had been released by the South African Police Service regarding the incident or any arrests made.
